IMAGO WORK
IMAGO WORK is a social enterprise providing vocational training and work experience to young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Vietnam. This is done in partnership with Simple Coffee (a direct-trade premium coffee business in Thailand and Vietnam).
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO:
Beyond the age of 18, very few opportunities are available to young adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Vietnam. There are few jobs, few educational institutions and few vocational training programs. We at Simple Coffee & Imago Work want to change that story. Imago Work started with one trainee Hoang working few shifts weekly at Simple Coffee in Hanoi, Vietnam. Hoang has been a tremendous blessing to our staff and customers. He works hard and brings joy into the coffee shop. We are now scaling up our efforts to provide vocational training and job placement to other young adults like Hoang. Simple Coffee has launched Imago Work to do just that.
