Protective Rainwear
Rainwear Now Provides Comfort And Flame Resistant Protection
Flame-resistant or flame-retardant (FR) rainwear is now available in dozens of sizes and a variety of colors and designs, but one challenge remains: comfort. Along with protective requirements, most linemen would like rainwear that is lightweight, nonrestricting and comfortable to work in. All Safety Products, Inc. offers FR rainwear
Rainwear of the Past
About 10 years ago, linemen had a problem with their rainwear when exposed to an arc flash. The rainwear melted when exposed to an arc flash. When safety-apparel standards (ASTM 1506-2000) were written and rainwear-specific requirements (ASTM F1891-01) came into existence, all of these industrial-grade garments went away.
All Safety Products, Inc. provides a nice range of flame resistant rainwear* and flame retardant rainwear, protective clothing, nylon, polyester, and PVC rain suits along with various types of chemical clothing that are cool to wear, that offer drawstring hoods, welded seams, reinforced crotch in poncho, foreman and squall suit styles. Some of the manufacturers are River City, Bata/Onguard and LaCrosse to include brands such as Aquablast and CK3.
